Blink and you'll miss this hidden playground just across from Bayside High School. Hidden from the soccer fields by lush trees in Raymond O'Connor Park is a playground that takes you right back to a simpler time. Two classic jungle gyms and swings flank a fun sprinkler area. There are three sprinklers here, with a fun circus theme. Two seals spraying water at an elevated ball sprinkler create a perfect place to cool off in the lazy last weeks of summer. Quiet and serene, you forget you're right off of a main road. The playground is secure for the little ones as there is only one entrance/ exit. Trees provide ample shade for parents who want to relax while the kiddos get out that summer energy. This is a secret gem it seems, there aren't usually crowds here.
On the more sunny days, be careful of the metal slides and apparatuses. This is a perfect place to play on a cloudier day.
Raymond O'Connor Park is conveniently located close to Bay Terrace, stop by after some shopping and lunch like we did!
